Over 100 Boats Racing IRC in WLIS
In 2008, 131 boats raced under the IRC rating system in 5 Western Long Island Sound events: American Yacht Club Spring and Fall Series, Block Island Race, Race to the Vineyard and Manhasset Bay Fall Series. In 2009, that number was reduced to 107 boats, most likely explained by the US economy’s “great recession.”
